Maximise basket value and increase sales by giving customers flexible ways to make payments, and to cross sell additional products and services during the online booking process.
This is a multi step process, that requires configuration and styling of multiple widgets to work correctly.
1. Enable upsell options within Travel Results V2
Widget Settings > Layout > Upsell Products
- Car rental (On/Off)
- Transfers (On/Off)
- Airport & Extras (On/Off)
2. Enable deposit and upsell options on Travel Availability Extras V2
Widget Settings > Layout > Sections > Add Section
- Deposit Option
- Upsell Car
- Upsell Transfers
- Upsell Airport Extras
You can see the deposit functionality within the widget editor, but you need to complete searches on the website to see the upsell options. To see both on the front end of your website, you need to search for products at least 6 months in advance (or however deposits have been configured in the deposit manager). If you're concerned about doing this on your live results page, create a series of test pages on your website to mirror the booking flow and duplicate your widgets to update separately, until you're ready to switch to the live booking journey.
3. Styling/branding deposit and upsell functionality
- To style the deposit option, go to:
Travel Availability Extras V2 > Widget Settings > Layout > Sections > Deposit Option > Edit > Configure styling for all device types (Different options available)
- To style the upsell options, go to:
Travel Availability Extras V2 > Widget Settings > Styling > Block Styles > Edit styling options
- To change the text when a customer does not require an upsell, go to:
Travel Availability Extras V2 > Widget Settings > Styling > XXXXXXXXXXX Styles (E.g. Transfer Styles) > Update the field "Default text for "No XXXXX" preference (Upsell)
